How to read an attribution
The exact evidence register and source-health section inside a generated report are the record of what was requested and returned for that generation. Source coverage, update cycles, geometry and availability vary. A marker near a site is not proof that a feature falls within a legal boundary; an empty response is not proof of absence.
Unless a source states otherwise, public data is provided under the source publisher's licence and terms. Crown copyright material made available under the Open Government Licence 3.0 must retain its required attribution. Users should follow the direct source record and current publisher terms before relying on or redistributing data.

Maps in the website and reports
The standard interactive basemap and many local-context queries use OpenStreetMap data. The required credit is © OpenStreetMap contributors, with the direct licence route at openstreetmap.org/copyright. Where OpenTopoMap is selected, the map also uses SRTM elevation and the OpenTopoMap style under the attribution shown on that map.
A report map may combine that base context with report-specific markers or overlays from BGS, Planning Data, Environment Agency, Natural England, Historic England, DfT, National Highways, Ordnance Survey OpenData or the ShareMySiteData commercial survey index. The overlay source should be identified in the evidence register. Map rendering does not merge those different licences or imply that one publisher has verified another publisher's data.
Report maps, routes and distances are indicative. They are not legal boundary plans, measured surveys, approved heavy-goods routes, utility-clearance plans or emergency routing instructions. Preserve visible map credits when sharing a screenshot, export or report page.
Photographs in reports
Local-context photographs may be drawn from Geograph Britain and Ireland. Each included photograph should retain its creator credit, direct photo page and licence. Geograph images are not evidence of current site conditions; check the capture date and visit the site where condition matters.

Commercial records and generated interpretation
Commercial survey records may be supplier-contributed, where they are supplied or authorised by the relevant data holder, or publicly evidenced, where ShareMySiteData independently indexes limited factual metadata from defensible public evidence that a survey or investigation exists. Publicly evidenced records remain distinct from open public-data layers and do not imply that the named organisation uploaded, approved, endorsed or partnered with ShareMySiteData.
An index entry does not transfer or reproduce the underlying report, licence, copyright or right of reliance. Those rights remain with the relevant rights holder or source. ShareMySiteData-generated summaries, classifications, source-health notes, contradiction checks and action prompts are derived content; the linked source remains the route for verification.
Names of hospitals, schools, merchants, community organisations or other local places may come from official directories or OpenStreetMap. Inclusion is not endorsement, proof of capacity or confirmation that an organisation is suitable, open or willing to participate. Confirm current details directly.
Corrections, missing credit and reuse
If a source, creator, map credit, licence, link or record appears wrong or incomplete, email help@sharemysitedata.com. Include the report identifier or page URL, the item, the correction requested and an authoritative source where possible. We will review the evidence and correct the page, future generation or stored report where appropriate and technically possible.
For reuse beyond the report-sharing permission in our terms, follow the licence of each underlying source or contact its rights holder. This page is a practical attribution register, not a grant of rights over third-party material.
